RECORDING STUDIO AGREEMENT

AGREEMENT:

The following shall constitute an Agreement ("Agreement") on this the Day______, of 2025 between ("Artist") and ("Clothezed Inn Studio") for Studio's services in producing master recordings to be owned by Artist. The terms of this Agreement are as follows: 

1. ENGAGEMENT: 

Studio shall perform master recording production services and produce a master recording ("Master") by recording the performances of the artist known as ("Artist"). Production of the Master shall take place at dates and times to be mutually agreed upon by Artist and Studio. Studio for purposes of this Agreement shall include its employees providing services under this Agreement.

2. RECORDING PROCEDURE:

Recording sessions for the Master will be conducted by Artist at Artist's sole cost and expense. 

2.1 MIXING AND MASTERING PROCEDURE:

If required, studio shall deliver to Artist upon completion and a flat fee of $100, a fully mixed, edited, and equalized Master (including but not limited to a final two-track equalized tape copy, CDR or digital audio tape (DAT)) commercially satisfactory to Artist for use on a record ("Record"), and all original and duplicate Masters of the music, lyrics and all other material recorded. The services provided by Studio under this agreement shall not include the service of "Mixing and mastering" without payment of the flat fee.

3. COMPENSATION: 

Artist shall pay studio a payment of $0 per song or track to be created, produced and recorded by Studio. Or Artist shall pay Studio a rate of $30-50 per hour of studio time used, and or a flat rate of $200 for the day (8am-5pm)/(6pm-2am) and $50/hr for every additional hour after 5pm/2am. Hours begin immediately (i.e.: extending the session to 5:01pm will result in an immediate charge for the following hour.

Studio Time is defined as follows: 

  • Mobile Recording (Social Media, Podcasts, Demos)
  • Professional Recording (Music)

A payment for the agreed upon designated Recording Session shall be made prior to the beginning of each Recording Session. 

4. RIGHTS IN RECORDING: 

Each Master made under this Agreement, or the songs performed on the Master, from the inception of recording, will be considered a work made for hire for Artist, if any such Master is deemed not to be a work made for hire, all rights, title and interest in the Master which are attributable to the participation in its authorship will be deemed transferred to Artist by this Agreement. 

5. CREDIT: 

Artist shall give Studio and Studio's engineer appropriate production and songwriting credit on all compact discs, record and cassette labels or any other record configuration manufactured which is now known or created in the future that embodies the Masters created hereunder and on all cover liner notes. Such credit shall be in substantial form: "Recorded at Clothezed Inn Studio, Engineered by: GeoDayDreamy".

6. COMPLIANCE:

An Artist failing to comply with the terms outlined in the agreement shall be responsible for:

  • Late Fees: A grace period of 15 minutes will be provided for all artists. Failing to arrive within 15 minutes after the agreed upon time shall result in additional $10 charge at the end of the session. 

  • No Show: Artists failing to arrive for scheduled studio time will not be charged a fee, but their deposit will not be refunded

  • No Guests Allowed: This is a 1-on-1 recording session. Any additional guests will not be allowed in and the Artist’s deposit will not be refunded. 

  • For Smokers: Must roll prior to arrival, no smoking indoors/recording booth, only outdoors/ on balcony.
